The Agent Vent Room

The job is wild.
You're not crazy. They are.

A place for Medicare & insurance agents to vent, laugh, and decompress — because the 8 PM phone calls and the chargebacks add up. Drop your worst client story. The best ones become The Medicare Diaries cartoons.

Submit a vent

Anonymous by default. We change every name. If it's funny, frustrating, awkward, or just unhinged — we want it.

Two rules: No real names and no client-identifying details (protects you and them — never post PHI). Keep it about the situation, not naming and shaming a specific carrier or person. We moderate everything before it's posted.

The wall

A few from the pile. (Seeded to start — yours could be next.)

No-Boundaries Betty

"Called me at 8 PM to ask if her new doctor's cousin takes her plan. By the third call I knew the cat's name and her bunion history. She didn't switch. She just wanted to talk."

TV-Commercial Carl

"Wanted to drop the plan covering his insulin for the one with a free gym bag. He doesn't go to the gym. 'But the bag was free.' The bag never came."

Funny · became EP02
Disappearing Dale

"Perfect appointment, SOA on file. Month two he vanishes — plan cancelled, commission clawed back. His neighbor said another plan had 'better TV.'"

Frustrating · became EP03

"Spent an hour on a kitchen-table appointment. Her final question: 'So are you single?' Ma'am I am trying to explain a deductible."

"Client swore I 'changed his plan without permission.' I pulled the recorded SOA. It was his twin brother. They share everything apparently. Including my number."

Crazy

"Carrier portal went down on the busiest day of AEP. Hold music for 90 minutes. The rep's first words: 'Have you tried turning it off and on?'"
